Tales of the Heroes Twin Brave II – Elaboration on character movesets

This post exists to list in detail the changes I’d do / would have to be done to make the characters far more viable and more enjoyable in a hypothetical Tales of the Heroes : Twin Brave II game, just so that I don’t clutter my original post.

The basic gist of this series of posts is to list is to mend some movesets and arte set-ups to offer a very wide variety of playstyles, these signified by a “Technical” and “Strike” arte and weapon set-up. Some characters will have unique names for those set-ups but the idea is universal. Also, they should fix the models to properly form fists when holding weapons, the models for fists exist since Cless does have a proper fist when he punches for the Senkuureppa. Not to mention, some characters are quite lower key compared to their more modern incarnations, some guys just need to Stahn it up way more than now.

List of pages :

Part 1 : Phantasia – Destiny 2
Part 2 : Symphonia – Abyss
Part 3 : Tempest – Vesperia
Part 4 : Hearts – Zestiria

Taking it back.

I’ve had it. From monkey pawing my own ideas, designs and wishes to haveing actually good games come out(remasters don’t count Vanquish, you were always awesome), I still won’t give console devs money but I’ll be damned if I don’t see hidden dreams and wishes come true with a few new games that came out, like Nier Automata. But mark my words, no games will make me change my mind about the consoles. Continue reading

Random Ramblings Vol.19 : Tales of the Heroes Twin Brave – Elaborations and Additions

This time I’ll talk about how to make TotHTB more…Tales-like. Now these additions I’m gonna list aren’t really to make the game better per se(it won’t make it worse) but it would give it a feeling that it belongs to the series and takes notes from its games. Those could also be used for a hypothetical sequel. Continue reading

Anime Monster Hunter – How about Bleach?

So, for all those years that Monster Hunter and its clones have been popular in Japan, that even series that have nothing to do with monster hunting have had games like that. Fairy Tail and Naruto come immidiately to mind, with Fairy Tail having three games like that. One Piece did about 4 games that are like Phantasy Star Online while their latest one on that series was very MonHun-light. Toriko is logical to have had three so far, it is MonHun with food…it was at least before the mangaka decided to make it pure crap. Yet Bleach never had one. You’d think even when Treasure, the guys behind the Bleach games for SEGA did a Monster Hunter game called Gaist Crusher, SEGA would have them capitalize on that. Nothing. Let’s fix that quite easily. Continue reading

Random Ramblings Vol.17 : SHADE – A very underused game developer / studio

SHADE, a small game studio that was founded in February 8 1995, focusing on game engines and in 1997 they started game development as well, making some really memorable games in the process and genuinly getting better with each game. Sadly, they almost never had the chance to strike bigger.

Random Ramblings Vol.16 : The wasted potential of Shining Blade

We’ve all been let done by a company we love before in gaming. A lot of games didn’t deliver on the hype they promised. It’s natural, marketing is built on raising the work of others a notch higher than it is to reel crowds. That’s not what happened that time with SEGA though and their game, Shining Blade. It was something very hurtful for the developers and the game : a waste of truly good potential.
