The basic gist of this series of posts is to list is to mend some movesets and arte set-ups to offer a very wide variety of playstyles, these signified by a “Technical” and “Strike” arte and weapon set-up. Some characters will have unique names for those set-ups but the idea is universal. Also, they should fix the models to properly form fists when holding weapons, the models for fists exist since Cless does have a proper fist when he punches for the Senkuureppa. Not to mention, some characters are quite lower key compared to their more modern incarnations, some guys just need to Stahn it up way more than now.
So, for all those years that Monster Hunter and its clones have been popular in Japan, that even series that have nothing to do with monster hunting have had games like that. Fairy Tail and Naruto come immidiately to mind, with Fairy Tail having three games like that. One Piece did about 4 games that are like Phantasy Star Online while their latest one on that series was very MonHun-light. Toriko is logical to have had three so far, it is MonHun with food…it was at least before the mangaka decided to make it pure crap. Yet Bleach never had one. You’d think even when Treasure, the guys behind the Bleach games for SEGA did a Monster Hunter game called Gaist Crusher, SEGA would have them capitalize on that. Nothing. Let’s fix that quite easily. Continue reading →
I love the Dissidia games immensely, especially the second one, Dissidia 012 Duodecim. So, as you can guess, I want to contribute to the game and its community and try and “create” a new character for it. For this instalment, I give you the hope of Cocoon, Hope Estheim. Continue reading →
Warriors Orochi. The name of the first crossover between Koei’s two major franchises at the time : the Dynasty and Samurai Warriors games, a match born in heaven at the time, all the Warriors one loved from the games in one game with new mechanics and a new system but most importantly, new characters that could pave the way for something more and exiting. Despite that, I do believe that after the first game, some things kinda fell apart for the franchise and it went down a road I don’t think is exactly good or beneficial for the series. Just like the title says…when’s Drakengard Warriors, or Drag-On Dragoon Musou? 😀 We know you have more plans for Koei-Tecmo after the Dragon Quest Heroes : Anryuu to Sekaiju no Shiro, don’t try to deny it. 😀 But, as Final Fantasy Warriors gallops towards existence(it was pretty high on polls by japanese fans on what series KT should make a Musou out of, Hokuto no Ken coming first and DBZ coming second…that reminds me…when’s Dragon Ball Musou? 🙂 ) could it be you should try to give another series of yours a chance and this time not force it on Taro Yoko or something…or just have him tie the story and game he wants to make on a license you didn’t want to hire the right people for, so long ago? 😀 Continue reading →
So, apart from that one Garo game on the PS2, how else could one make a good Garo game. I had already said that some categories of fighting would fit Garo and even made a post about…yet, ultimately, the perfect way to represent Garo in the gaming world is via a very certain combination of PS2 games that perhaps nobody had thought of before. Despite being a really small time fan of Naruto(I mostly try and see what will happen at the end since I hate leaving things I invested so much time unfinished), I still love very much the first half of the series and always loved the videogames that came out. A stark contrast to the second part of the manga / the Shippuden anime, the games from that era only advanced forward and made things more awesome! When Storm came around, it was a dream for me who loves those completely 3D / Free-roaming fighters. It has sadly gone so far downhill ever since then but I have enough solutions to make this whole series better. Continue reading →
