So, since the future has spoken apparently, I’m going back to the post with a bit of a different mindset about this whole subject. So, once again, I dive into the best PSP game Tetsuya Nomura thought off and took part in.
Ah, Dissidia. The first game that ever taught me what “hype” was and the first game I was forced to do serious search and research upon and the japanese language in general to understand what was going on. While some games I had bought before that were in japanese and were japanese-heavy in text, they already had guides in english and explained the hiragana / furigana / kanji the games had so it wasn’t much of a problem for me. This one was new for the time and I would buy it the same time as everyone else and I certainly couldn’t wait for who knows how many months before it had a guide, I couldn’t wait anymore…I had been waiting for 10 years already and the trailer that made my dreams come true was hitting me hard on the head with its awesomeness.
Needless to say that when Cloud and Squall were announced, I was ecstatic, but a bit dissapointed that Tifa wasn’t in the game and neither was Auron or Lulu, but my two favourite leads and Ocarina of Time Link’s “rival” would finally be playable in an action game and it was enough for me. And in December of 2008, I finally had it my hands and have clocked in over 600 hours in just the first game.
5 years later, I still crave for more Dissidia but not necessarily the Final Fantasy one anymore. Maybe this one isn’t so random as other ramblings, just maybe but for this post I’m going to write about the manga, anime, visual novels, tokusatsu and even other video game series that can benefit from the gameplay system of Dissidia should they ever be or are in need for a good fighting game.
So, earlier this week I’ve been bugged about and troubled about something…and today I figured out what. The amount of gun games running around the world, especialy from the overheated and worn out matrix of FPS games, the US. But what about sword based games?
So, here it is, my dream game. The game is basically a mix of Fighting games and Stylish Action / Hack’n’Slash games, think of it as Gundam Vs Gundam / Ys Vs Sora no Kiseki combined with Devil May Cry / Ninja Gaiden and have heavy tokusatsu and henshin heroes references and elements. You can find everything about the game here :
This page will serve as a place for discussion, comments and updates.
So, here’s one of my dream games, forever hoping stuck in my head, unfortunately. Still, here’s what I have to say about it.
Power Rangers : Mighty Morphin’ Legends is a 3D action game with a multitude of characters and their respective teams from the popular show. The game mainly features familiar themes found in the show while keeping the story and action at the same page, kind of like the Warriors series from Koei-Tecmo. The premise is to defeat the enemy in the most bombastic fashion the player can think of, from the start to the finish, with the giant robots and monsters roaming the fields and destroying everything in their wake.

This is the first document about a game I’ve ever made, so, there you have it.
Hello and welcome to this blog, A Certain Gaming Haven!
I’m just an avid gamer that wants to vent his creativity at a blog. The rest is pretty much boring everyday stuff…wait…the first one also classifies as that! Eh, what can one do? Anyway, the rest of my dribble will be the game genres I like, since it will be less work than listing the games I like; Action, Action-Adventure, Stealth Simulation, Mecha Simulation, RPG, Action RPG, Strategy RPG, Stylish Action and Fighting games and every mixing with these genres and their subgenres[Hack’n’Slash, 3D Fighting, 2D Fighting etc].
I’m relatively new to blogging but not that new in game designing and hope that, one day, at least one of them makes it in proper game format. If not, I’m pretty happy with venting out my creativity that usually comes in the forms of games.
The blog will be mainly for the games I have come to “develop” over time and posts about how I feel regarding certain things, mostly quirks, about the game industry but from time to time you can expect posts that may surprise you[they will mostly have to do with games still].
So, once again, welcome and I hope to talk to you all soon.
